The Slice of Life Young Entrepreneur Experience
Our flagship programme delivers a structured six-week journey designed to unlock the potential of young people. This consistent and progressive learning environment ensures the development of key skills (Gatsby Benchmark 1) and demonstrating a clear intent within the quality of education framework.
6 weeks of work experience
This interactive, six-week experience offers Key Stage 2 and above students, including high achievers and those with SEND, a hands-on learning journey aligned with Gatsby Benchmark 6. Students will develop leadership, teamwork, healthy eating habits, and social responsibility through active engagement. This menu of activities seamlessly integrates classroom learning with real-world application, culminating in a fundraising pizza-making celebration and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship
A Flexible Framework for Diverse Learners:
As with all our experiences this option has an adaptable structure that ensures that all students, regardless of their learning style or ability, can actively participate and thrive.
High Achievers: Can be challenged with more complex research tasks, advanced marketing strategies, in-depth financial analysis, and leadership roles within their teams. They can also explore the ethical and sustainability aspects of running a social enterprise.
SEND Students: Benefit from hands-on activities, visual aids, simplified instructions, and opportunities for repetition. Tasks can be broken down into smaller, manageable steps, and peer support can be encouraged. Sensory elements of pizza making can be particularly engaging.

An Entrepreneurship Masterclass
Explore diverse leadership styles and their impact on team performance.
Adaptation: High achievers can research and present different leadership models. SEND students can identify and discuss simple examples of good teamwork.
Week 2
Pizza with a Healthy Purpose
Delve into healthy eating trends and promote nutritious pizza toppings.
Adaptation: High achievers can analyse nutritional information and develop marketing campaigns focused on health benefits. SEND students can focus on identifying different food groups and their importance.
Week 3
Market Research Mission:
Conduct market research to understand customer (fellow students) preferences.
Adaptation: High achievers can design and implement surveys, analyse data, and identify target markets. SEND students can conduct simple taste tests and record preferences using visual charts.
Week 4
Operations and Logistics:
Develop a comprehensive plan for the pizza sale, focusing on food safety and efficiency.
Adaptation: High achievers can create detailed operational plans. SEND students can focus on specific tasks like setting up workstations or following clear visual instructions.
Week 5
Pizza Preparation and Rehearsal.
Refine recipes, practice pizza-making, and conduct a full dress rehearsal.
Adaptation: High achievers can experiment with advanced pizza-making techniques and manage the rehearsal process. SEND students can practise specific steps in the pizza-making process with support and guidance.
Week 6
Pizza Sale, Work Experience & Certification:
Run the pizza sale, raise funds, and celebrate achievements with a personalised Certificate of Entrepreneurship.
Adaptation: High achievers can take on leadership roles during the sale and manage financial transactions. SEND students can participate in customer service roles with support and experience the satisfaction of their efforts.

TYPE TWO
The Spice Up Your Life Skills
3 week Pop-up Pizza Experience
We aim to foster enthusiasm among young individuals for undertaking challenges, demonstrating resilience in the face of setbacks, and acquiring valuable life skills through the operation of a temporary pizza business. Our focus is on providing an engaging, practical, and pertinent educational experience.
This learning experience has been developed to emphasise experiential engagement and to align with all current Gatsby Benchmarks for career guidance. Emphasis is placed on cultivating resilience and a positive disposition, thereby equipping young people with the capacity to navigate life's challenges. The culminating activity involves the complete planning and execution of a genuine pop-up pizza event.

What's on the Menu?
Week 1: Pizza Lab Time!
Get creative in the kitchen. Teams will play around with loads of fresh ingredients, making their own pizza toppings. Think taste exploration, lots of fresh food, and a really positive vibe.
Week 2: Let's Plan This Thing!
Now we get into the nitty-gritty. How do we actually make this pizza pop-up happen? Marketing, budgets, how things will run, looking after customers, and keeping everyone safe. It's all about teamwork, talking to each other, and sorting out problems together.
Week 3: Pizza Time!
The big day is here. Everyone works together to put on the pop-up pizza event. It's a chance to show off those skills, chat with customers, and feel really proud of what they've done. Expect happy customers, new tastes, and a huge boost of confidence!

Pizza Party!
1 Day / Half Day: Life & Work Experience
Are you seeking a dynamic and engaging method to cultivate teamwork, provide real-world work experience, and broaden student horizons? Pizza with Purpose offers an exciting one-day Pizza Party designed to achieve precisely that, aligning seamlessly with Gatsby Benchmark 6 and Ofsted's emphasis on personal development.
Our interactive, hands-on Pizza Party immerses students in a fun, collaborative setting where they cooperate to create and manage their own pop-up pizza event. From inventive topping creation using fresh and potentially novel ingredients to planning logistics, managing a "sale," and reflecting on their accomplishments, each stage fosters teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
By introducing new ingredients, we aim to stimulate curiosity, overcome reluctance to try new things, and encourage healthy eating in an enjoyable and accessible manner. This experience offers tangible insights into the workplace, builds confidence, and cultivates essential life skills – all while having a great time!
